Asset Management, Remarketing & Disposal of IT Equipment

IT Asset Tracking

The time taken tracking assets is the main reason for the delay in releasing computer equipment for disposal. The pain staking job of counting by hand and recording asset and serial numbers on all equipment to be released is time wasting and laborious, however it is vital to all our clients. As speed is pivotal to the return on decommissioned IT stock our clients are reassured that our reporting not only helps their internal process but also saves them money. To ensure that we handle this process efficiently we have invested in the latest bar code reading and wireless technology.

Remarketing of IT Equipment

A lot is made of how to remarket redundant equipment, obviously we have many channels and markets we sell to across the world , but we don't believe that you should need to worry about this. Our clients don't worry if we can sell their old stock or even who we sell it to, why should they? That's our job to remarket the equipment.

At ICC we offer our clients a buy price on all equipment so that they know even before a collection just what return they will get. This way our clients receive current market prices at the time of collection, not when we sell it. This is how we ensure the very highest returns on your kit.

From point of contact one of our purchasing team will visit the site where the equipment is located and take a detailed asset of equipment then present a formal tender usually within 24 hours detailing all the equipment and prices for the tender put forward.

Environmental Issues

After your equipment has gone through our testing process we decide whether that item should be sold, recycled or environmentally scrapped. At ICC we have adopted the best possible practices in the Environmental disposal of un-saleable IT equipment. These are in accordance with the following EC directives

The European Commission has adopted these two proposals for the recovery of waste equipment and the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The proposed Directives are designed to tackle the fast increasing waste stream of electrical and electronic equipment and complements European Union measures on landfill and incineration of waste.
